ABOUT US - TEAM
SHARON TZUR
FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sharon Tzur is Founder and Executive Director
of Media Watch International (MWI) and the moving force behind Caravan
for Democracy.
Canadian-born, Israel-raised Tzur completed
her military service in the Israeli Air Force. Tzur is the granddaughter
of the late Revisionist Zvi Rosenblatt, who was accused of the 1933
murder of Chaim Arlozoroff and cleared of any suspicion by an official
inquiry commission in 1984. Following a stint as assistant to MK
and former Tel Aviv Mayor Roni Milo, Tzur became Director of Betar
USA, a Zionist Youth Movement.
In 1999, Tzur joined the Jewish National Fund
as National Director of Project Development. Following the beginning
of the renewed Intifada, Tzur founded Media Watch International
to counter the growing media bias in coverage of the Middle East.
She oversaw the runaway success of Honestreporting.com, until it
reached over 50,000 activists and became an independent organization.
Tzur is the address for national media outlets,
like Fox News and CNN, who seek her counsel in securing articulate
Israeli voices - she herself has appeared on these networks and
has been featured in articles in the US and Israel. She travels
as a speaker from Montreal to Miami.
